But from this extreme mix — Lack of time and obligatory invisibility — The campaigns of our adventurer artist are in many ways approaching … the military. Finally, than, in fact, is the strategy, as a non-result-oriented action, inscribed in a limited time, limited space and often accompanied by a lack of resources. And the thoughtfulness of all the details in each, sometimes, at first sight, a seemingly uncomplicated installation by the artist, commands respect no less, selected topics.

And now, closer to the installation itself:

so, 300 Spartan cockerels lined up in three rows, to protect their Thermopylae from a plural motley army, who tries to surround the camp of heroes from everywhere. The strength and strict character of the Spartans is emphasized by gray concrete. They know the meaning and purpose of their struggle., their determination and organization is enhanced by the rhythm of the figures, concentrated in a single direction.

The invading army consists of mercenaries, whose purpose — snatch your piece, that's why they crumble out of sight as multi-colored crumbs.

Despite the relevance of the topic, one should not look for direct analogies in this work either with the events on the Maidan, nor with maneuvers on the borders of Ukraine. The work is done according to the comic Frank Miller which is based on a famous historical event — Thermopylae battle, presented in fantastic processing.

But the sight of this installation is much further.. Despite, what do we know, how the battle of Thermopylae ended, we cannot make definitive conclusions, who will smile at the military fortune in this confrontation in the clearing in front of the tin fence, but we can be sure, that the winners will be those, who knows, what they want and what they are fighting for.
