Have you ever had it like this, what are you rushing about, deep in thought, and suddenly rrraz — and stop with eyes round with surprise, because the head of a rooster or even several roosters at once looks at you from the wall of the house?
If this happened to you, means, you know, what is the Pivnyky Time project. And if you don't know yet, then meet: in front of you is a new kind of street art, which is from the already familiar street art, different the same, like a quiet whisper from a cheerful cry.
Once the author of the project found an ordinary children's toy in the form of a rooster's head - forgotten or thrown away by someone. AND, apparently, this find somehow echoed in the artist and the Pivnyky Time project was born. So on the streets of Kiev - sometimes in the most unexpected places - funny colored cockerels settled. So the project ceased to belong only to its author., and began to belong to each of us, participants of the daily city quest "find me, if you can".
And the installation illustrated below is called Patriotism.
Patriotism is always good, however, sometimes its price is too high. This is exactly what is happening in Ukraine now. Reality, in which we all find ourselves, led to, that the streets of Ukrainian cities, house facades, bridges and fences were painted in national colors, thereby raising children in a spirit of love for their, Ukrainian. Thereby reminding each of us, what we, Ukrainians are the people, which cannot be brought to your knees, what we — people, who will not trade his independence for ephemeral values.
The Pivnyki project did not hide from the patriotic rain and wind. Installation "Patriotism" — about the coup. Not about the physical revolution, but about the revolution in the minds of the people of the Soviet era, who until now have not attached due importance to their national identity.
